Floating Thoughts

I can't believe how easy it is to not update this blog. Many days I think of a few things to write but then figure it's not enough to create a post with so I don't bother. So this afternoon will be the day to try and remember all the things I thought of the past couple weeks.

• First and foremost it doesn't appear that our fair city is going to flood! Whew....that's a relief.
  
• The kids are still fighting coughs....when will spring be here?
• We are enjoying a visit from my brother this weekend. The kids are thrilled to have someone new to entertain them, but they are missing their Auntie Steff....she will have to come next time instead of going to California.
• We got to see a ultra sound pic of our new little niece/nephew last night! How sweet....we can't wait to meet you in person! August still seems so far away....
• And speaking of babies.....we are so glad that "Charlie" has arrived. Tim and Melissa welcomed their baby boy on Tuesday and we now know that his real name is Tyler and he's a little sweetheart. Congratulations to you all. Megan & Madi you will make the best big sisters ever!
  
• I told Daryn to close the bedroom door the other day and she stuck her head back in and said, "But I'll just leave it open a crack!" It was one of the cutest things she had ever said. Guess she's heard us tell her that a time or two.
• Last week we were driving in the van the other day and Brett starts singing "Take me down to Paradise City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty... take me home." We cracked...it's the theme song from a racing game that him and Shayne play.
  
• This morning Brett starts singing "Don't tell my heart, my itty, bitty heart...." We looked at each other and shook our heads....we have never played that song in any of our music collections. Here one of his teachers at school has taught it to the kids!
  
• Last week I worked 3 days in a row and this week I work a full week covering for a girl on vacation....Yikes!!! I hope it goes well....I still feel like I have so much to learn. I will have to be ultra organized here at home so the week has a hope of going well.
• We are so glad that the kids love their day care school.....they are excited to go in the mornings and they have learned so many new things.
• I believe that I once mentioned that I love Target...well now that we are back here in G.F. we have a Super Target about 4 blocks from us! Aaaahhhh!
  
• And we have a Super Walmart.....can life get much better?? And I'm almost sorry to say that I shop more at Super Walmart. Can't beat the Walmart prices and I love a good deal! But I still shop Target for a lot of things....don't worry! I have my loyalties.
  
• I'm thinking that a massage would be a good treat at the end of this coming week....as I'm guessing it will be a little stressful.
  
• Shayne's parents are coming down for a quick visit this weekend so we are looking forward to that. The kids are very excited about seeing them again.
  
• We get to pick up the kids pictures tomorrow. I'm super excited about that....it's been too long since we've had them done.
• We have entered the world of GI Joe's and Barbies now....wonder how many "accessories" will end up in the vacuum canister. But it's fun to watch their imaginations at work!
