Today we are living in a blizzard....I had said to Shayne just a week or so ago that I really wanted a real winter storm so voila....here she be. Today is one of my days off which worked really well since the kids daycare is closed. So we are having a cozy day at home and enjoying the storm from the warmth of the apartment.
The kids have settled into their daycare which we call "school" and are so excited to head off in the morning. Lunch bags in tow. Daryn has come home singing more songs than I ever imagined she'd sing and both kids have learned the Pledge of Allegiance. Brett brings home lots of little projects and coloring papers that he's quite proud of. Most of them have the name Buster Bretton on them as that's what he likes to be called now and his teachers obviously indulge him at school!
Here are a couple pics of the kids from Valentines day. They were quite proud of the face (and hand) paintings that they received. And we made Valentine cupcakes too.

I am SO proud of you!!! Imagine my surprise when your name appeared at the top of my 'recently updated' list! And those pictures of the kids just about made me cry...they've gotten sooo big, especially Dolly! Give them big huge hugs for me...miss you guys!
